From a small boy interested in life nature and the under sea world. In brief, i grew up looking at national geographic magazines in the Doctors and barber shop.
i did not learn to read and write efficiently until I was 22. It was photography that changed my life. A school they told my i could not do photography. Yet in the 70s i purchased a Yashica SLR and took up as a hobby. In one year sold my first black and white photo. Opened my own studio in 1984 after working as a holiday camp photographer. I worked for the press. and done work for magazines. But still lacked that something that I wanted to achieve. I too up Scuba-diving and now do underwater photography and also an instructor here in Kotakinabalu. My fist digital slr I bought in 2005 to photograph my friends wedding in Shanghai as I had used before Mamya RB 6x7 and 6-4.5s wedding photography and portraits for 25 years. Now it was time to go digital and use a PC. I now use digital SLRs canon here in Sabah Borneo But the Digital world I find frustrating. It moves to fast , but has many advantages.
I love wild life and land scape photography. Sadly dyslexia has held me back in many things. I now hope that this course will help me show the world my world through the camera and I can at last achieve a degree.
