The OCA website will, within the next month, be given a complete makeover. This will involve re-building the various website components from the ground up - including the forums and galleries. This does not mean that current users of the website will be losing all of their images and forum posts - these will be imported into the new website, as will your current usernames. You will, however, receive an e-mail shortly after the new website goes live, informing you that you will need to choose a new password. This is because that information is kept encrypted even from ourselves and so cannot be ported across.

The information from the Forums and the Galleries is being imported to the new website today (17/06/08), which means that any posts made to the forums or the galleries from today onwards will not be transferred across. However, I will keep copies of all the forum posts made from this time onwards and place them into a separate area of the new forums when the cross-over occurs. Unfortunately, I may not be able to do the same with any new images that are placed into the galleries from today onwards, so please bear that in mind when uploading any new images. There will be a facility on the new website to view your Flickr images through the OCA website, so if you have a Flickr account, it is better to use that in the meantime.

The change will mean a significant improvement in the OCA's provision of services to its students and tutors, but we apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused within the next month.
