Julie Noad

I went to art school in the 70’s, firstly a foundation course in Essex for 2 years then went on to Camberwell School of Art in London to study for my BA in Fine Art.

Since then I have continued to develop my painting and teaching careers so I have plenty of experience both as a painter and tutor which I think is important for guiding my students through their courses.

I have taught drawing, painting and history of art in colleges, schools and privately mostly in East Anglia for the last 30 years and I have been enriched both artistically and personally by teaching such a fascinating subject.

My own paintings have been exhibited in London with the New English Art Club and the Society of Women Artists as well as extensively throughout East Anglia. I have also completed work for book covers and I am referred to in various art reference books.

I have been a tutor with The Open College of the Arts for since 1999 and tutor the Drawing courses and Painting courses on all levels both on a face to face and correspondence basis. The courses I think are both challenging and enjoyable; important elements for artistic development no matter how much or how little experience a student has to begin with.
