David Winning

I studied at the Bolton College of Art and then at Cardiff University in the late 1960s where I specialised in painting, drawing and printmaking.

I have tutored adults and children in both formal and workshop settings for over 35 years and was Head of Department of Art and Design before becoming the Head of Expressive Arts Faculty in a large Greater Manchester high school. During the 90s I was the North West Assistant Chief Moderator with the NEAB. I have been a tutor for the Open College of the Arts since November 2005, tutoring Art & Design and Painting courses.

I now operate independently concentrating on private teaching contracts and my own painting. Working in a range of media, my current work focuses on Landscape, Still-Life and the Human Form.

I have exhibited widely and my work appears in public and private collections across the North West and beyond.
