Alexis has had solo shows at ArtSway and Phoenix Arts Association, and was artist is residence at both. She has participated in several site-specific group shows notably Wheal Art Weekend, held on a world heritage site. She has been supported by; Arts Council England who invested £5000 in her work in 2006, The Esmee Fairburn Foundation, The ArtHouse Doncaster, ArtSway, Creative Skills Consortium Cornwall and most recently as an emerging movement artist on Sadler's Wells Big Intensive for Choreographers.
Alexis holds a first class BA Honors in Fine Art from Falmouth College of Arts (now known as University College Cornwall) and a Certificate of Higher Education in Dance Performance from Birkbeck University of London. She also studied at L'Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice.
Alexis makes drawing, collage, installation, painting, dance, sculpture and film. Alexis’ work was named pick of the week in The Guardian Newspaper and has also been covered by an article in The New York Arts Magazine.

As many artists do she has a second career to earn money. In 2007 she ran away from the circus in Cornwall where she was PA to an acrobatic clown and went on to manage IJAD Dance Company. She now teaches for a range of arts institutions, works for Dance UK as Communications Officer and is an event manager for a range of large scale music festivals and events across the country.
