At OCA we believe education in the arts should be available to as many individuals as possible. However, not all students have the same financial resources. There are ways to help reduce the cost of studying.
If you are re-enrolling after having had your previous OCA course formally assessed, you are entitled to a discount of £100 off the course fee. All you need to do is enter the figure of £100 in the deductions box on the enrolment form. This deduction is not available online - please enrol either by post or by phone to use this discount.
The OCA is an educational charity. Although we receive no core Government funding, the charity’s trustees have established a bursary fund to help with course costs. To apply for the OCA Bursary, please download and fill out this form - OCA Bursary Form. If you have diminished eyesight, a large print version can be downloaded here - OCA Bursary Form (large print). The Bursary Guidance document can be downloaded here - Bursary Guidance document. Please ring the Academic Office on 0800 731 2116 if you have any questions.
You can save money by enrolling on a full degree (all three levels) for the full degree enrolment form, click here - OCA's Enrolment Form for a full degree. You can also save money by studying for the BA Hons degree level-by-level; you can download an enrolment form for the first level (three courses) by clicking here - OCA's level-by-level Enrolment Form for Level 1
Many employers have schemes which help with fees, particularly for accredited courses. Local authorities may have information about local educational grant-giving trusts. Schools may support their teachers with the cost of work-related courses.
The MoD's Enhanced Learning Credits scheme (ELC) is an initiative to promote lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces. The OCA is now an ELC approved learning provider. Our provider number is 1750. Contact Lee Openshaw (01226 704367) if you have any queries.
