Overview

A range of advanced courses is available to students who wish to embark on a personal writing programme over an extended period of time. You work closely with a tutor in a specific literary form, building a strong folio of writing.

It is recommended that students have completed a Level 2 course but direct entry is available for more experienced writers who wish to work on a one-to-one basis with a professional tutor.

What does the course cover?

A framework for the course has been established by OCA, but the actual content of the course is to be negotiated between you and your tutor.

Course Assessment

You will receive comments and direction from your tutor throughout the course. If you choose to have your work formally assessed, you will receive details on submitting a folio of work with the course materials

Higher Education Credit: 60 credit points at Level 3

Postal tuition you send work to your tutor for comments and direction.

Time Guide:

To complete the course in 9-12 months requires about 6 hours a week.

A course pack is provided and will be sent to you by post.

Fees:

£580 full fee or £215 deposit and 6 x £74 monthly payments, totalling £659
